United Methodist Women (UMW)
A community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
You are invited to meet with other women in Christian fellowship, grow spiritually, and to join in mission of the Global Ministries of the church.
The UMW meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month unless otherwise specified.
Tuesday, September 6th, at 7 pm, the United Methodist Women will meet at the church to hear Beth Childress, our treasurer, explain about the World Thank Offering and how it is used.
Please remember to bring your box, can or jar to be dedicated. The container is kept in a visible place, possibly on a kitchen shelf or counter. All year long, coins are dropped in with a prayer of thanksgiving for some blessing received. If you are interested in participating in this project, please see Beth Childress for a Thank Offering label for your container. This offering goes to the Women’s Division of the Board of Global Ministries. This is a simple, gentile reminder to give thanks for daily gifts from God.
